Program faculty win prestigious Scott Myers Award from SIOP

Congratulations to faculty members Harold Goldstein, Charles Scherbaum, and Elliott Larson -- along with Rachel Ryan (American Express Company) and Kenneth Yusko (University of Maryland) -- for winning the 2021 M. Scott Myers Award from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology for Applied Research in the Workplace. This is the most prestigious practice award in the field.

The award recognizes the development of the NFL Player Assessment Test, which is designed to predict performance while improving diversity, equity and inclusion in selection decisions in professional sports.

Albert Zhou is awarded major grant from the National Science Foundation

Zhiqing (Albert) Zhou has received a 2-year grant in the amount of $172,000 from the National Science Foundation. His proposal, written in collaboration with Chenwei Liao ( Michigan State University) and Songqi Liu (Georgia State University) was titled: “Collaborative Research: Leader Behaviors and Experiences across Life Domains.” Congratulations Albert!

Rob Silzer leads Professional Practice Initiatives in SIOP

During his three year tenure at the SIOP Professional Practice Officer, Dr. Silzer initiated 16 new programs for IO Practitioners, including: the Advanced Professional Development Program, the Practitioner Digest Newsletter. the Early Career Practitioner Consortium, the Practitioner Networking Reception, Practitioner Mentoring, Practitioner Benchmarking, and three new SIOP Professional Practice Committees
